Vigan / Ilocos shoot full installment

Here's the follow-up to the Vigan shots we did with Jake and Dianne.  Really loved how Dianne styled herself (she's a make-up artist by the way) and Eddiemar (hairstylist) was just super!  So Day 2 afternoon we headed to Vigan and stopped by Paoay Church along the way.  By the time we got to Vigan, not only was it dark but we were super dead tired.  Our shoot ended at 130am....

Next day we took some shots in Vigan (daytime this time) and then the bell tower.  

Vigan is nice, but its gonna take a lot to make me go back there to shoot. :) Even by plane, so i hope you enjoy these shots. hehehe. 

 

1st time shoot in Windmills of Pagudpod

Flew in yesterday to Laoag (thats North of Philippines) via PAL and headed on to Pagudpod... Woke up really early 4am to catch the sunrise.  Unfortunately, we didn't expect that the windmills were still far from where we were so sun was alway up when we got there.  Did not stop us from getting great shots though... 

This is a really far off place... i joked that its called pagudpod because "if you go here, pagod ka na pudpod pa swelas mo (not only will you be tired, your soles will be worn out too). Anyway, it was worth it but im ok with going here twice.  I will think about it if another couple decides to shoot here... even if they say we will fly in. 

Our 2nd stop is at a light house, forgot the name but it was called Cape something... we have not actually had breakfast yet so i thought CAPE meant they were serving coffee.  :)

Its now 1:42pm... were on our way to Vigan to shoot a street there with old houses.  Hopefully, God will make way so that we can shoot in an old house.  I'm praying, i'm praying... "do not make me come back some other time to get that shot Lord!".

My first Anvaya Cove shoot

Yesterday was my first Anvaya shoot... a whopping over 3 hours drive and a 20k slap on the wallet for permits alone.  On the way, Joseph and Ces (more on Ces) was already praying cause it was raining really hard.  Unfortunately, they're getting married on June 27 so they can't take a leave anymore to resched.   God didn't completely answer our prayer as it was a bit drizzling and lighting was not so good but we had great time nonetheless and we were able to deliver nice pictures. :) so still we praise God!

Today my reading is about this verse from Jeremiah 48:10 Cursed are those who refuse to do the Lord's work. Who hold back their swords from shedding blood".  I know literally, God doesn't want us to kill.  But, this verse also literally means "willing to do anything for Christ as long as he is sure it is his work.".  Before knowing this, you probably thought it was ok not to do it... There are rewards for doing it, but not doing it will just make you not get the rewards.  In this verse, it says not only do you forfeit yourself of the rewards, you also allow yourself to be CURSED!

In line with PDP, PDP is actually a ministry for us.  We do it for the love of Christ.  It is what Jesus has called us to do... so allow me to thank all those who have shared their precious time to be part of PDP staff of teachers... Jamie, Noel, Carlo, Derrick, Arlene, Tiqui, Jayjay, Dominic, Jason and every body else...   Thank you very much for sharing your God given gifts in fulfilling a God given vision.  I love you guys!!!

To Jessica... Big thanks to you for posting this.  I'll miss singapore and the people from PDP too. I know all your teachers feel the same way.  Di bale... 2 more days!

Marnic & Denise Hongkong Prenup

Marnic was a barkada since college.  He was one of those people who worked with me in everything i did in DLSU - when i was president of the fair, when i was running the political party etc... So when i heard he was getting married, i got so excited!  Actually, i found out during my wedding cause that's when he proposed.  

What touched me with this guy is even though he didn't have a big budget for the wedding, he consulted and listened to me.  So as a gift, i promised to shoot his prenup since i'm not shooting his wedding.  It finally materialized... 

Its great to be a part of your wedding my friend even as a prenup photographer. :)  Enjoy these shots even though they are unedited.

Singapore PDP

Just got my ticket yesterday and i thought the classes were starting next week....  When my friend Anna of Summit Publications asked me if i was to go out of the country again anytime soon, i replied next week pa. :) then i got prompted to check my ticket date and realized that it was happening already this week... And i was just settling down. Arrrgghhhh!!!  

So this weekend its Singapore, next week its were holding 2 events for Post Ad Ventures (one in Sofitel and the other one in Makati) , a wedding in Boracay with Amanda Tirol  and then the week after will be in Cabanatuan for an event.... Whew!
